Sachi Patitucci, cellist
Earned a degree from the Eastman School of Music and has been active in Los Angeles and New York as a freelance musician, performing in concerts and recording for films, television shows, jingles and cds.She toured internationally as a soloist with pop singer Belinda Carlisle (the GoGos) and Yanni, and performed live and on music videos with artists such as Sade, Richard Marx, Blackstreet, Mary J. Blige, Kansas, Hal Ketchum and others.
Sachi is married to jazz bassist John Patitucci and has recorded on several of his cds, including two pieces that were nominated for Grammy Awards in 2003 and 2004. She performs regularly in chamber music settings and as a soloist. She was a founding member of the cello quartet “Cello” and recorded and toured with them for four years.
In addition to performing, she is the business manager for her husband and a partner in the newly formed record company MRS Records.
She and her husband are the proud parents of two daughters, ages 6 and 9.
